UP Constable Re-Exam 2024: Examination Centres Finalised, Major Announcement by Government
The wait for the UP Constable Re-Exam 2024 dates is over. Over 4.8 million candidates have been eagerly waiting for the announcement of the constable recruitment exam dates. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board is expected to announce the exam dates soon. The allocation of exam centres for the UP Constable exam has been completed, which is great news for the candidates. The government had to cancel the previous exam due to a paper leak, but it is now preparing to conduct the re-exam.
Due to the previous paper leak, the government is taking extra precautions to ensure the integrity of this exam. A committee, chaired by the District Magistrate, has been formed to select the exam centres. These centres have been categorised into two groups to prevent any irregularities this time.
UP Constable Re-Exam Latest News
To provide some context, the UP Police Constable recruitment exam was initially held on 17th and 18th February but was cancelled due to the paper leak. The recruitment drive is for 60,244 positions, with over 4.8 million applicants. The candidates have been waiting for the new exam dates, and the government had previously issued an order to conduct the exam within six months, which will be fulfilled by August. Therefore, it is anticipated that the exam will be conducted in August, in accordance with the government's directive.
Exam Pattern for UP Constable Recruitment
The exam pattern for the UP Constable recruitment consists of four sections, totalling 300 marks. The exam will be OMR-based with no negative marking. The four sections will cover General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, Mental Aptitude and Hindi.
Free Transportation for 4.8 Million Candidates
The Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation will provide free transportation for all candidates appearing for the UP Constable exam. Candidates who present their admit cards can take advantage of this service.
Preparation for August Examination
Preparations are underway to conduct the UP Constable recruitment exam in August. The Chief Secretary has instructed all District Magistrates to submit the list of centres by 27th June, which has been done. The exam is likely to be held in the last week of August.
